Mori Girl was a popular Shojo Shumi (girls interest) that started in japan in the early 2000s. The official name and thus debut of the aesthetic is commonly referred to be the mori girl mixi group created by a girl simply known as choco in 2006. Choco created the group and dubbed the aesthetic “Mori girl” after a friend noted that she looked like she was from the forest. She would create a guildline in the group referred to as “chocos list” which listed out some general guidelines to recreate the morigirl fashion.
